Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Program
The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Program is a community-focused program intended to help smaller communities in Canada. It benefits both the communities and the foreign workers by matching the demand and supply of skilled labour and paving a path to permanent residence for these workers simultaneously.

Program Eligibility
The IRCC eligibility requirements for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Program are given below:
Language Proficiency
| You must take one of the approved language tests, i.e. IELTS, CELPIP-G, TEF Canada or TCF Canada and get a minimum language score of: • NOC C and D: CLB/NCLC 4 • NOC B: CLB/NCLC 5 • NOC 0 and A: CLB/NCLC 6 |
Work Experience
You must have a minimum of 12 months of work experience and should be:
• For a full-time position; or equivalent time in a part-time position;
• Within the last three years of application.
Settlement Funds
You have to prove that you have sufficient money to support yourself and your dependent family members even if they’re not accompanying you.
Intent to live in the community
You must plan to live in the specific community and may be asked for the plan to participate in the pilot.

Education
| You should have ‘one’ of these: • Canadian Post-Secondary Degree, Diploma or Certificate • Canadian Secondary School Diploma • An Education Credential Assessment report for your foreign education through a designated organization must be equal to one of the above Canadian Equivalencies. |
International Student – Work Experience Exemption
If you were an international student who graduated from an institution in one of the communities with a:
• Post-secondary program of minimum two years;
• A Master’s Degree or Higher
You are exempted from gaining the work experience mentioned above.
